The wind and water seemed to 'flow' in the same fashion while we perched on these ledges.  The water carried away the silt and the wind wicked away any moisture from the land.  Certainly one of the most dramatic places  to paint in the canyon. But all of us felt the fast dehydration acutely, and found it difficult to work for very long without a quick nap.
