Grand Canyon Journal, Page 23We sat around in the dark and watched the light fall away. We listened to the mellow sound of Eric Michael's guitar , accompanied by the jazzy harmonica of Bruce Aiken. We tried to join in singing, but we all decided we are better painters that singers, as we could not for the life of us remember the second verses. Each of us would slowly drift away to our tent to write in our journals or organize our materials for the following day, enjoying the reflections of the camaraderie that had developed, which we hoped would remain once the journey ended.
