Grand Canyon Journal, Page 6The first rapids we encountered were at Badger
Creek. That got our senses stimulated for what was to become a daily
experience of waiting for the roaring sound of the coming rapids, and splashing
of the bone chilling water that followed. We proceeded to Soap Creek
Rapid and spent the night there among the rocks and soft sand. We listened
to the roar of the river throughout the night, knowing that we would be
traveling on in the morning.
