These Great Blue Herons were photographed in Florida at a nesting rookery which also included Great Egrets, and Anhingas. The Great Blue Heron pairs display each time the male brings a stick for the nest, and this is sometimes followed by mating. Once the chicks are born, the parents feed them whole fish until the chicks are large enough to fledge.
