We setup a 90 foot tall tower in the Amazon jungle to photograph Emperor Tamerin monkeys in the forest canopy. The Tamerins come to drink nectar from the Combretum flowers, which only bloom for two weeks out of the year.

When I arrived at the 60 foot level, a troop of about 50 squirrel monkeys and Capuchins arrived and surrounded me. I froze in place while they came within 5 feet to inspect this strange creature in their environment.

After waiting less than an hour, the Tamerins showed up right on schedule and I was able to get some great photos.
